Meet our educators
Tresca Pascoe
Founder, Owner and Director
Tresca founded The Cabin Day Nursery in 2015 as an expansion of her outstanding childminding business. She is a strong advocate for play based learning and is our THRIVE trained lead. Tresca is focused on improving lives for children in her capacity as a foster parent but you will see her around nursery as she is deputy manager in Dawn's absence.
Chris Pascoe
Founder,Owner and Director
Chris founded The Cabin Day Nursery in 2015. Alongside Tresca, Chris is now not based at the nursery full-time as he focus's on his foster parent work.
Dawn Fiske
Nursery manager, Sendco and safeguarding lead
Dawn manages the day to day running of the nursery and oversees our teaching and learning provision.
She is a our Special educational needs coordinator and has a specific interest in neurodiversity best practice.
Designated safeguarding lead.
Karla Lillicrap
Level 3 practitioner + Sen support
Karla is an experienced member of the team with an interest in additional needs. Currently supporting a key child one to one.
Karla is Deputy Safeguarding lead for the setting.
Mistee Mcangus
Senior Nursery practitioner
Mistee comes from a background of supporting children in schools and her calm, fun attitude makes her a favourite of many of our children and parents alike. Mistee has a natural talent for supporting behaviour in a positive and relationship based way. Mistee has an interest in supporting parent parent partnerships. She is deputy safeguarding lead for the setting.
Elizabeth Cole
Nursery practitioner
Elizabeth or 'Lizzie" as our children affectionately know her, has been at the Cabin for two years and in this time she has supported many of our children with lots of skill and cuddles.
Emma Shelley
Senior nursery practitioner
Emma has earned her place as a positive and hard working team member. Her gentle and sensitive care of the children ensures that she is loved and trusted by each of our children.
Kim Swift
Senior Nursery practitioner
Kim has a great ability to make learning fun for each of our children. She has a deep love of children and animals and a solid understanding of child development. Kim is a strong advocate for our neurodiverse children and uses her lived experience to support them.
Rebecca Bradbury
Nursery apprentice
Rebecca is currently completing her level 2 qualification. Her enthusiasm for early education is infectious and she is particularly loved by the under 2 children who she is always surrounded by!
Fabi-Ann
nursery practitioner
Fabi- Anne is an organised and proactive member of staff who ensures the children cultural capital is enhanced by regularly organising trips into the community.
Rachael Johnson
Nursery practitioner
With four young sons of her own Rachael is fantastic at bringing learning to life. Rachael is able to bring even the most reserved children out of their shell.
Stephanie Abbott
Senior nursery practitioner
Steph has a baby son and mentors newer staff in the care of under two children.
Jasmin Willis
Jasmin qualified as a level 3 practitioner 12 years ago and comes with a wealth of experience and understanding.
Lucy
Nursery practitioner
Lucy attended the Cabin as a child herself and is now back pursuing a career in Early education as a very promising apprentice.
