FAQ

  • How do I contact you?
You can contact us via our websites 'contact us' section, our facebook page, via email -thecabindaynursery@gmail.com or phone 01822615888
  • How do I enrol My Child?
To enrol your child please contact us via our website, facebook page or call 01822615888. We would be pleased to offer you a show around of our setting where our directors Tresca and Chris or our nursery manager, Dawn will be happy to answer any of your questions and can assist you with the enrollment process.
  • Can I get help with childcare costs?
Yes, there is help to support childcare costs. We accept 2 year old funded places as well as 15 and 30 hour three and four year old entitlement. Please visit childcarechoices.gov.uk for further information of options available to you. Our friendly team would also be happy to speak with you about your options. Please call the nursery or email us to speak to us.
  • How do I know my child is happy when I am not there?
We offer free of charge settling in sessions to support your childs transition to Nursery. These support your child to form bonds within the setting and our nurturing staff to get to know your child as an individual. We provide a comprehensive app for parents and carers that enables you to stay connected to your child's day whilst you go about yours. Through the app parents can securely view photos and videos of their child's day, find nappy/toileting logs and view their childs naps at a glance. A partnership approach with parents is extremely important to us and so our app has a messaging service similar to social media platform messaging that allows you to instantly message your childs key person at any time throughout the day. Our practitioners use nursery owned mobile devices whilst in setting which are secure and not removed from the nursery. We are also happy for you to call or message us at any time. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable that your child is safe and happy.
  • What makes us unique?
The Cabin is a one of a kind setting that bridges the gap between the small family feel of a childminder and the flexibility and reliability of a nursery. We believe we have retained all of the advantages of a childminder. Children find it a 'home from home' setting where each is known as an individual and their unique learning styles are respected and planned for. We are very proud of our small scale and feel far from the larger 'factory' style provisions. Our directors work alongside the team as early years educators themselves and lead a hands on approach to early education. Our small staff team and group sizes mean each child benefits from plenty of practitioner input as well as the opportunity for peer friendships and socialising. Your childs day at the Cabin will be varied, fun and playbased. They will have the opportunity to access the outdoor learning environment whenever they wish (in all but extreme weather and our team will help them to select appropriate outdoor clothing before they head out). Practitioners skillfully build on and extend each childs knowledge and skills with high quality interactions and learning opportunities. With a strong emphesis on emotional and social development children at The Cabin learn self confidence, respect for others and the ability to build trusting and close relationships.
